Jack Kerouac
The writer of the widely acclaimed book “On The Road” Jack Kerouac had also served as a merchant marine. He registered for US Navy in 1943 but the thing did not go the way it was expected. He got on the sick list only eight days after the joining. If we go by the medical report this occupation did not interest him much. So only after few days, he was freed from all his duty for holding a schizoid personality.
