They say, ‘It’s better late than never’ but here being late was as hazardous as never. The announcement of mandatory evacuation was made quite late and so the execution was hasty. As the rescue mission was supposed to be wrapped up before the tornado takes on the town, the rescuers tried to save as many people as they can. But still, there were many people who did not have personal vehicles stranded in their home. Maroney being a pararescue specialist tried to make most out of his skills. He extended his hand of help to each and every victim he came across.
