Clever Girl

Well, we got to give Anna credit for her creative efforts. We all know how hard it is to change a rigid perception or console someone when they are vulnerable to the point that nothing works. It’s even more difficult to do that with your parents, generation gap, right ? But Anna had come up with a mischievous but effective way of making things right for his dad. She is one clever girl indeed.

Sigh of Relief

Steve took a big sigh of relief, followed by his laugh. All of a sudden Steve didn’t care about the loss that patriots had suffered. He was feeling stupid to let a loss affect him so much and all it took was a fake note from Anna to beat some sense into Steve. After all, The Patriots had won the Super Bowl five times before, and it certainly wasn’t the last final they would play a final.

A Lesson Learnt

For a moment, Anna had scared the hell out of him, though she did it to teach Steve a lesson and so it happened. Steve might have taught his daughter a lot of things while bringing her up but this time Anna had taught him an important lesson of life, that sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. And there are worse things in life than losing a game. Steve took his time and headed to the neighbors house to make things better.

Besties

Anna and Emma(the neighbor’s daughter), were best friends since their childhood. They had grown-up playing with each other as they lived in the same vicinity. They knew about each other’s likes and dislikes and always shared their problems with each other. And this time was nothing new, Emma too knew about the letter thing and both the friends had fun pulling Steve’s leg.

Making It Right

Steve kept thinking about Emma’s reaction to the whole note thing, that was the reason Steve felt pretty embarrassed while approaching Emma’s door. Steve gained his composure, took a long breath and knocked on the door hoping that he would save himself from the embarrassment. “Hey, girls,” said Steve, acting as cool as possible as if nothing had happened. “Want to go for some ice cream?” He played his card waiting for the reply.

All’s Well That Ends Well

Anna and Emma got the better of Steve, they looked at each other and chuckled at the look on his face. After all, it was a long day for Steve, he was on an emotional- roller coaster ride and at the end of the day he did needed an ice cream to chill things up. But the teenage duo did make sure to take a dig at him…
