This was not it, the First Lady instead of having a new expensive gown preferred to recycle the old one that she wore when his husband served as a governor.

In the inaugural ball, Rosalyn attired herself in a sleeveless blue chiffon gown with gold trim. Though she did it to make people know that the president doesn’t believe in holding grand parties when the entire nation is in doldrums, the action did not get much appreciation from the public.

This First Lady donned white beaded one-shoulder dress made of silk satin and a lace overlay.  In the second inaugural celebration, she got herself fit into a white gown with long sleeves that was designed by Galanos. It is said that it took three hundred hours for the designer and his staff to deck the gown with beads that were stitched with hand. No wonder, the dress cost her $46,000.

The royal blue velvet and satin gown made her look younger than her age.

Scassi has a long history of designing clothes for the first ladies starting from the time of Mamie Eisenhower. She intended to send out a message to the people that they are a traditional couple. she preferred pearls over diamonds. Her amazing dressing earned her the title of  “most glamorous grandmother.”

The second time Bill Swore in, they had 14 inaugural balls in their owner.  In her husband’s second inaugural ball, the lady donned Oscar De La Renta topped off with a cap. Oscar De La Renta once stated about Hillary that she is  “a symbol of where women want to go.”

When Bush resumed the office for his second inning, the nation was struck with the grief of 9/11 tragedy. In the second inaugural Laura once again taking inspiration from Hillary wore Oscar De La Renta. This time she attired herself in an ice blue and silver tulle gown. 

Michelle Obama

He became the first African-American to step into the office and as the owner of White House. Michelle celebrated the victory by wearing white, one shoulder chiffon dress in the inaugural ball. The dress was designed by Jason Wu. Jason was already very famous but after having the first lady as his customer his fame shot to international level. She wore white color on purpose as the color symbolized hope that is a part of her Mr. Obama’s platform. The couple then got into the office were relatively young just like Kennedys.
