And due to the drastic increment in tourism and sea traffic, the whales and other marine animals have moved away from the coastal water. Asha was well aware of the fact and that is why she was expecting nothing there. However, she had no inkling that just a mile from here there was something hiding beneath the water that had successfully been dodging the notice of the entire world for centuries.
Not A Blue Whale
The blue whales had been understudied in Sri Lanka. Despite their presence in the regions for centuries, no marine scientist showed their interest in finding out more about them. But the thing and perception of people began to change when Asha decided to conduct her research on blue whales of Sri Lanka.
Unusual Animal
They happened to spend a few hours on the water when they spotted something strange moving towards their boat. It was a weird creature, something she had never seen before in her entire career. Thereafter, the horribly large creature began to circle the boat. It was difficult to gauge was the creature trying them to scare them away or was just playing around. Whatever the case was, one thing for sure the creature looked very violent. Whereas everyone there was all stunned, Asha quickly sprinted inside.
Capturing It
She rushed out with a camera in her hand. She knew this creature was anything but ordinary. Asha started clicking pictures of the creature. She snapped as many photographs as she can. She tried to capture it from every possible angle. At the same time, she took out her diary and noted down all the significant details and her observations of the giant creature.
Rare and Relaxed
Fortunately, Asha managed to take lots of pictures of the sea beast. And as she had taken pictures from different angles, many features of the creature had gotten captured in the photo that later on was going to help the research team. A single glance on the creature was enough for Asha to realize that it was not a blue whale. It was something else! The unidentified object had piqued the curiosity of Asha. The first thing she did after coming back to the shore was to run to the field house to find out more about the creature.
Photographic Evidence
Asha put out all the photographs on the table and the team sorted through the pictures to get any clue about the thing. The team was accustomed to going through the pictures taken during expeditions but this time it was going to be special. The creature they were looking at in the picture was beyond anyone’s knowledge. Surprisingly, none of those well-versed marine researchers had seen a creature of this kind ever. Was it even real or was it something else altogether.
