The strenuous nine months of Nadya Suleman’s pregnancy certainly took a toll on her body. Eight babies at once is clearly far more than the average woman could handle. Indeed, the media caught onto the story fairly quickly, and Nadya became a viral sensation. That’s how her nickname, “Octomom,” was born. As much as one Californian single mother’s pregnancy might not seem newsworthy to some people, there was a good reason for Octomom’s notoriety. Nadya’s pregnancy would turn out to be a record-breaking one that would have implications for the rest of her life – not all of which were so positive.
