The Great Pyrenees
This dog hails from Spain and France.They are very docile and adorable in nature. These dogs can grow up to weigh 80-120 pounds and can live up to 12 years. Due to their thick white fur, they require a lot of care. They were bred in cold weather to protect flocks in mountains.
Akita
Large in size with intimidating looks these dogs can easily scare anyone. But, actually, they are known to be very faithful and adorable. Having originated from the mountainous region of Japan these dogs have a thick layer of fur all around them. They have a lifespan of 11-15 years and can weigh in between 70 to 130 pounds. Their alertness and receptiveness distinguish them from other dogs.

They have a lifespan of 10-12 years and can weigh between 77 to 110 pounds.They were initially bred in order to protect the flocks and their beautiful fur demands a lot of care. In fact, it is their fluffy fur which makes them look even bigger.
German Shepherd
The name is enough to tell that this breed has its origin in Germany. They are known by the name of Alstain in Britain. You would have generally noticed them with police and military the reason being their loyal nature and high intelligence. They are so intelligent that it makes them an aid in solving a crime. Weighing around 49-88 pounds these dogs have a lifespan of 9-13 years. Though used now as military dogs they were initially herding dogs.

They have one of the shortest lifespans of all dog breeds that of 8-10 years. These dogs often used by guards because of their ferocious look are known for their devotion and obedience. It hails from Germany and weighs around 77-130 pounds. These dogs with black or tan short hairs usually don’t demand a lot of care. They were initially used for driving herds that fed the army.
