Joyner got his inspiration from an advert tagline that read “Breathe life into your vacation.”  He came across this tagline while going to the audition and he interpreted it as breath life into your character.While speaking to Business Insider he revealed that he gives credit for getting this role to a dream in which he gave mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to unconscious Barney.
