Li Wenhua is a farmer by profession who was leading a very normal life until one day he entered his citrus orchard to inspect the trees. The farmer had no idea that his orchard was not the same anymore. While roaming through the orchard, he spotted a very weird object lying on the ground. He moved closer to check and what he found was extremely surprising. He initially thought it to be a relic but it was not that.

A Surprise In The Orchard

The wintry November of 2016 proved to be very special for a citrus farmer named Li Wenhua of Chengdu province in Southwest China. It was a warm perfect day to work on the farm. He took up his shovel and went inside the field to finish his work. He knew that the work was going to take his entire day and he was well prepared for that. However, what he was not prepared for was a big surprise that was coming his way.

China-Land Of Wonders

China is widely known for its rich past. That is the reason, the country comes up with astonishing discoveries each year. No need to say, the present of China is shaped by its amazing past. Li too comes across a thing of past but not a relic. However, the object is as precious as any other relic is.

A Prevalent Farmer In China

Li Wenhua is a farmer by profession. He primarily grows oranges in his farm. The man is in this business for a very long time. However, never in his life, he had come across something that he was going to face in a matter of a minute. Interestingly, Li traces back his originality to Tang Dynasty. However, he owns no claim to the royal bloodline.

The Struggles Of Citrus Farming

The season did not seem in favor of citrus farmers of China. In fact, it was one of the toughest phases for the citrus farmers. The crop all across the country got infected by a greening disease that ruined the output entirely. Not to mention, it resulted in a big financial loss for the farmers all over the country.

Caught The Disease?

Li was suspicious if his crops also had caught the disease. Though there were no signs of it, he decided to inspect all his trees closely. The trees looked perfectly healthy and fine. There were many trees in the orchid and checking them closely was indeed going to take lots of his time. He went ahead.

The Garden Of Chengdu

Li resides in Pujiang County that is also known as “the garden of Chengdu.” Even though the entire country was suffering from this greening disease, Pujiang remained immune from it. Why so? Well, the region is famous for its fertile ecosystem. Over 50 percent of the area is covered with trees.
