Larisa Latynina is a Soviet gymnast from South Ukraine. She had the world record for having the most Olympic gold medal amounting to 18, for 48 years. Though Michael Phelps outdid him later on. She has conquered 14 individual medals and 4 all around team medal. She after her retirement took up the responsibility to train Soviet Union Women’s Gymnastics team.In 1968, 1972 1n 1976 games, it was under her leadership, that the Soviet Ladies made their way to the Olympic Gold. She right now is residing in Semenovskoye, Russia.
