Paavo Nurmi
Paavo Nurmi also known as “The Flying Finn” has won about 12 medals, nine in gold and three in silver, in a dozen of Olympic Games. He has the record of being an invincible player in 800m for 121 consecutive races, winning him the nickname of “The Flying Finn”. He had a penchant for violin and was an aficionado of classical music. He tied the knot in the 1930s and died when he was 76 in 1973, in Finland.
