Ian Thorpe is a champion swimmer who happens to be allergic to chlorine! He is highly respected by his fellow swimmer and venerated by aspirants. He has 5 Olympic Gold Medal in his name. He could not continue to compete because of the shoulder injury he sustained. Though he was honored with a Doctor of Letters from Macquarie University. In 2014, Thorpe made it public; “I’m comfortable saying I’m a gay man. And I don’t want people to feel the same way I did. You can grow up, you can be comfortable and you can be gay.
