No Threat

Soldier 33The way of rescuing the soldier faced criticism from the hospital’s staff. The doctors claimed that they had been treated as a threat by the Army and were forced into a group at gunpoint. Whereas many people disagreed with the method chosen by the Army, the social ops forces defended their deed by calling it tactics. The force clarified that in such situation they are required to see everyone with an eye of suspicion in order to avoid unannounced attacks and with that, they have to move quickly while raiding. The doctors insisted that the Iraqi military had abandoned the hospital by the time U.S. Army raided the place. And the staff did not intend and hence made any effort to stop the American Army. However, the Army had rescued Jessica, their rescue process was still under the question mark.

For instance, this is a front page news published in one of the most prestigious newspaper called The Washington Post that read “Lynch, a 19-year-old supply clerk, continued firing at the Iraqis even after she sustained multiple gunshot wounds and watched several other soldiers in her unit die around her.” Furthermore, there were even some quotes that described the valor of the female soldier such as “she was fighting to the death…She did not want to be taken alive.” Jessica with her book was going to take on all these news.
