Fool-Proof System
Jacobson had no intention of discontinuing the theft and to make it more threat free he needed to have a full proof plan. He knew if the winners would come out of the same area that will surely give way to suspicion. In order to avoid that possibility, he decided to look for accomplices that he called “investors.” His investors mainly included family members and friends of friends that would give him an amount of cash to get the winning game piece. When the deal used to get finalized, Jacobson would ask his investors to go to a specific location to win their prize. He even used to train them with what to tell McDonald’s executive and staff. One of the stances included Jacksonville-resident Gloria Brown paying $40,000 and flying to South Carolina to win a prize. She told executive that she lives here so that no one could doubt her.
