With her first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Last Picture Show, she received a second nomination for her performance in the cult classic film, The Exorcist, and finally, a win for Best Actress for her portrayal of Alice Hyatt in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore. She recently made an appearance alongside Sharon Stone, in the 2017 film A Little Something For Your Birthday.
