In the early part of the decade, she was involved in Broadway productions, but in 1977, she got her film debut in the TV movie Deadliest Season. But it was her performance as Joanna Kramer in Kramer v Kramer that solidified her presence on the silver screen. With innumerable achievements, Streep has gone on to be one of the most celebrated and decorated actresses in the industry. She has more Oscar nominations than anyone else in the industry.
