Pierce Brosnan the famous actor and previous James bond received an honor from the queen of England in 2003. Pierce Brosnan was conferred upon with the title of an honorary officer in the order of the British empire. Here it is important to make note of the fact that this honor is only reserved for the British citizen, so he was bestowed upon the owner without full OBE honors. The queen honored him because of his “outstanding contribution to the British film industry”. Pierce Brosnan also holds the citizenship of Ireland where he was born and in 2004, he got the citizenship of US where he has been residing for a very long time. He has both citizenships. Isn’t it amazing that a boy who comes from very humble family catapults to such fame that he is bestowed with two citizenships?
