Pristine Condition
Pippa Pearce, the in charge at the museum said, “It’s a very rare treasure, and it’s rare to find so many coins altogether and in such good condition.” The coins were cleaned up and it didn’t take much effort in doing so because of the fact that they were in pristine condition when they were found. The coins were covered in dirt as they had been buried underneath the ground but the lead sheet had done a great job in saving them. The coins were later showcased at the London’s British Museum.
