Most likely Rodica was left at the orphanage because her family couldn’t afford her upbringing cost. She was malnourished which caused other health-related issues for the poor baby girl. As if this wasn’t all that she was also suffering from rickets. Her bones were weak because of Vitamin D deficiency.
