Addie belonged to a normal working class family who found it hard to meet the expenses to fight her medical condition. They were gutted after knowing about their daughter’s syndrome and all they wanted was to help her in getting out of it. They wanted the best life for their daughter but their lack of funds acted as an obstacle between them and their happiness. However, they were lucky enough as Texas Scottish Rite Hospital stepped forward to help them; a place that relied on donations. A lot of credit goes to the hospital for where Addie is at today in her life.
