Web Cam

No this is not snow, it is an illusion of snow caused by the spider web. When there are floods in Australia, the spiders of the country move to higher grounds and how do they manage to do that quickly? These smart creatures used their webs somewhat like a hot air balloon. It could be a pretty terrifying sight for people scared of spiders though like Ron from the Harry Potter series.
This photo covers about half a mile of extensively webbed land.
Since we are on white things, maybe you should take a look at this too…

Fogbows

A fogbow also called a white rainbow or even ghost rainbow is formed the same way as the normal rainbows. The only difference is that it appears due to fog and not rain. When the droplets are quite small the bow is white and hence its name. This stunning picture was captured by photographer Melvin Nicholson in Scotland who said- “I ventured down to Rannoch Moor recent to photograph this lovely lonely tree in the mist when all of a sudden this unbelievable fogbow appeared. It is a colorless rainbow that is made up of tiny water droplets that cause fog. It’s an amazing thing to witness and can generally only be seen if the sun is behind you when you are looking at it.”
Enough of white. It is time for some (a lot) of colors. And I am not talking about rainbows.

A Natural Painting

This is not a work of painting. It is a place in China called the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park. This might as well be the most naturally colorful place on earth. Why does it look like this? Over hundreds of years, there have been deposits of red sandstone and sediments of mineral deposits clubbed with rain and winds. These factors have led to the formation of beautiful colorful towers, ravines, waterfalls, and valleys.

Lightning Ball

nature photos
This picture is taken by one among the rare 5% people on earth who ever got to witness this rare phenomenon. This is a ball of lightning and it lasts longer in the sky than the usual lightning strike. And since 1843 scientists have been trying to explain this phenomenon when it was first brought up by English physician and electrical researcher William Snow Harris. It has been more than 150 years and till today there is no scientific explanation for this.

The Arctic Hare

These weird appearing rabbits are called Arctic hare and they have awesome adaptation technique for the unforgivable climate of the Arctic. They can change their fur color depending on the season!
In winters they have a snow white coat and in summer their fur turns brown or grey. These fast animals (can travel at 40mph) are found in  Greenlands and the Canadian Arctic.
Up ahead is the picture of a cute bat. Don’t believe me? Look for yourself.

The Honduran White Bat

Batman would have you believe that bats are all black but that is not true. These adorable creatures are the Honduran white bat, also known as the Caribbean white tent-making bat. They just consume one fig species and build their own little “tents” from huge leaves that the saw with their teeth.

A female white bat can produce only one offspring at a time but can give birth many times in a year.
