Julius Caesar

Caesar ruled the city of Rome from 49 BC, and his reign came to an end after his death after five years of his rule. In his time he managed to expand the empire and ordered construction and renovation of the city he liked the most. But it was the city of Como that became really special for him because he knew this place has a very important strategic location that could benefit the empire in tough times. He ordered to drain the swamp that was at the southern end of the lake, and which later became the most significant decisions made by him for the city in coming years.
