Abruptly Cutting Ties

After leaving his 9-year-old son Matthew alone, Richard called and said, “I can’t live this way anymore. I feel you would be better off without me.” He didn’t even give her a chance to speak. That wasn’t the last call from him though. A few hours later, he called again and said,  “I don’t want to go to jail. I’m never coming back.” For a moment she thought it was all a prank but her husband abandoned her and her kids.

The next morning, more troubles broke loose on her.
