Unbelievable

Elizabeth was overwhelmed to see the response of people. They understood her and helped her. “I feel like people are giving it the exposure it needs to get the right set of eyes on it. Twitter has literally taken it up. I think that it could be the year that it gets back to the owner. I hope so. I never anticipated the overwhelming interest in it. I’m just so shocked. But it’s great, I’m thrilled. I would like to give it as much exposure as possible,” she said in an interview.

Was This Enough?

While many people were saying that probably the couple died during the attacks, Elizabeth denied to believe them. She knew there were high possibilities that if the photograph made its way out of the disaster than it owner was alive too. She came up with the question of what if it just flew out of the office or somebody’s desk? The story was spreading and Elizabeth’s expectations were at its peak.

Missed Something

Elizabeth’s story was getting more than 10 tweets every second. When the response was this much, it became hard for her to notice each and every tweet and that’s when she missed an important message.

Media Attention

From Twitter to Reddit and from Reddit to media the story was spread overnight. People wanted to know about these people in the photograph. Everyone was praying that the photo that has become a mission for Elizabeth makes its way to the right person. But will it?

A Stranger

It was a guy named Fred Mahe who was one of the people who replied to Elizabeth’s post. But unlike the rest, he had something concrete to say which missed Elizabeth’s attention. What was it that Fred was trying to say?

He Was There

He was a guy who came from Colorado to make his career in the big city. At the time of the attacks, Fred Mahe was not only living in the New York City but he was also working at one of the twin towers. What happened on September 11, 2001, left him into pieces.
