Resentful

On one hand, Fred accused Terry of being greedy, who ruined the friendship they had, but on the other hand Terry something else in the interview he gave to Sunday Mercury, “I think Fred wanted all of the money and is now resentful he has had to share it.” For Terry, it was Fred who became more greedy and it wasn’t him who ruined the friendship it was Fred who ruined everything. He even shared something of which not everybody agrees with…

His Wish…

“Sometimes I wish I’d never found that hoard,” added Terry, who was hurt by what Fred did when cutting all ties with him and realized that they have come to a place where they can’t turn back and be friends again. Was the treasure really cursed? Fred has something else to say.

A New House

Fred used the money which he got after selling the treasure to build a new house on his farm. He recalls that very first moment when Terry showed him the discovery he made and rather then being happy about the treasure he was more into the worth of the money, “all he wanted to talk about was how much money we were going to get for it.” Fred said that he wishes some poor fellow would have found it instead of Terry.

Low-Key

After Terry made this discovery, both of them agreed to keep a low profile about the discovery and themselves. Naturally, they were excited to find such an amazing treasure but still, they didn’t want to get the limelight for now. But according to Fred, Terry didn’t keep his words. Fred said it was “not about the money for me, it’s an incredible find for the country, and that’s what is more important.”

More Treasures!

The dispute between Fred and Terry wasn’t done, later the researchers found 90 more gold and silver artifacts buried in the land. The team of archeologists searched every inch of the land and discovered these pieces which were buried just 3 inches under the surface. So what was this new collection? How did it create a new problem for both Fred and Terry?

The New Collection

This new collection which archeologists discovered later, had a helmet cheek guard, cross-shaped mount, and a figure shaped like an eagle. But the researchers weren’t sure of these new artifacts belonged to the same period and luckily if they did they would be declared as a treasure before they could be examined for their true value. Which would result in? Any guesses?
