No Dear

Keston said, “Well, no dear, it’s not your decision, we have decided to keep the baby and make her part of our family if you two mothers were not happy and willing to be responsible for her, no matter what.” The couple then decides to file a lawsuit against them in order to get the baby terminated.

  One Can’t

Keston discussed this legal matter with Lori Meyers who is a specialist in surrogacy laws. The expert said, “There’s not a court or contract in the world or judge that would force a surrogate mom to undergo a termination of pregnancy simply because of something they sign.” Moreover, the baby was biologically Andrea’s.

The Baby

After fighting for the baby, Andrea and Keston are no more friends with the couple. However, they even say that they don’t hold any grudges against them. As mothers, they know what is it to raise a kid and with a specially-abled child, life gets tough. Now, both of them were just waiting for the baby to step into this world.

Delaney Skye

After much of struggles, Andrea and Keston finally gave birth to a little princess on July 2, 2013, whom they named as Delaney Skye. Both the moms were overjoyed to have the baby in their arms. Though they knew it won’t be easy to have this baby, yet they also knew that together they will be able to manage it.

Heart Defect

Little Delaney was born with a heart defect. But there was nothing to worry as this was a common symptom in children with down syndrome. Moreover, with heart surgery, it could be treated as well. Other than this she was a perfectly normal child.

Like Any Toddler

She was sent to school like any other child would be. She was learning to play and learn with other kids of her age. Keston says, “She likes getting into mischief and making messes. She loves to dance, all things Elmo, she loves playing with her siblings.”
