She has the unique achievement of being the oldest swimmer, at 41, to be a part of the Olympic team, as well as, represented the United States in 5 Olympic Games making her the first Olympic swimmer to do so. Apart from swimming, she has pursued a career in modeling and worked as a reporter for popular channels. Dara won a total of 12 medals in which four are gold during her career as a swimmer.
