Since she was facing several medical issues, it was believed that Merrill was abandoned as that would mean she needs urgent medical attention. Since she could not breed anymore, the owners obviously found her useless. The next thing that happened was totally unexpected by the whole facility. As the pit bull was slowly dragged in for check up, her tiny Chihuahua friend Taco could not sit still. He was now 8 years old. Merrill was kept away from Taco because of her check up which made him completely restless and anxious. It was clear how much he wanted to be with her.
