Something Was There

The workers were checking the chimney and the moment they switched on the torch it didn’t work. But they had to check it before they could send someone down to clean it. With a long stick, they started waving it in every direction in that black space of the chimney and then it hit something. They couldn’t locate the exact location of that thing which wasn’t visible because of the dark but there was something that took them by shock.
