Antonio Banderas is perhaps the most well-known Spanish actor in Hollywood. He actually had his heart set on becoming a soccer star, that is, until he broke his foot. He then ventured into acting and was even arrested for staging a political play under the regime of Spanish General Franco. After he moved to Madrid, he played a number of small roles in films, until he was discovered by director Pedro Almodovar, and was launched to stardom.

The Spanish hunk has received accumulated many accolades due to his excellent performances in films, especially Frida, for which he was critically acclaimed. He also doesn’t lack in the department of looks, as he was voted as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world by People Magazine. He has currently taken to fashion designing and has enrolled himself into a design course at Central Saint Martins.
