As if the struggles he was going through was not enough that he got trolled online. He never imagined his life to be that hard. He expressed his stress on being trolled like that during an interview and said, “It hurt me to see my picture up there”. He is not a kind of a person who likes to remain in limelight, rather, he was getting all sorts of attention, that too, in a negative sense.

Childs took social media so lightly and thought that it would not affect his personal life, however, he got a reality check and concerning it he added, “I thought it was something negative and nobody would care about it.” After having the image shared, the young father got to know the power of social media since it shook his life to the core, which he had never expected.

On having circulated the post in social media, the local people decided to take this matter into their hands and do other necessary judgments. The sight of the man was unbearable to the eyes of everyone residing there. They could not take the situation, hence, they took necessary actions regarding the same. The actions taken by the people made Childs life completely upside down.

Cofield showed her disruption by airing the picture which made Childs life more of publicity. Though he felt bad, he never mixes up his personal and professional life. One day, when Childs arrived at his workplace, he got to see something unexpected. The local people, who took the matter in their hands donated piles of diapers, clothes along with the other childcare supplies for his little one. The local people, on being aware of the situation, tried to help him.

After being trolled, this was the second time Childs spoke up about the community. He said, “I didn’t think the community would even care enough to do that, but they care,” explaining to WSB-TV News.  He was a man with a good heart. The help he received from the people was something huge for him. In his speech, he added, “They changed my life in a couple of days.” He now got to know that if people take up negatives, they would always appraise positives as well.

Theo and Xavier Thomas, owners of local restaurant Fusion Chefs Eatery, heard Childs story and hardships that he faced and was facing back then. They were so carried away and decided on offering him a car to get to job interviews. Childs then felt with mixed emotions when he got to see the bright side of society and thanked each one of them.
