Ted had to inform Paula that her ring had not been found by them of any of his coworkers the last time that they met. But when there was a ring with seemingly valuable stoned embedded on it in the sewer line, he knew what it was. As soon as he picked it up, he was left in shock. He could immediately tell that this was Paula’s wedding ring.
