Marks actually bought this house for £400,000 from an elderly couple who were the original owners. This house was built during the 1970s. However, what lay underneath the property was not disclosed to him when Marks bought it from them. The elderly couple was clearly aware of what lay under since someone covered it up with all that mud. They probably thought they had done a good job in covering it up too.
