The official statement issued in the case was that Adolph Ruth had taken his own life. The people, however, refused to accept this verdict because no evidence pointed towards this conclusion. There were bullet marks on his head and the map was missing. The obvious interpretation was that he had been the victim of foul play. Another similar case made the police to reopen Ruth’s case and realize that he did not take his own life.
