Overconfidence Comes With A Price

From previous expeditions, Adolph had acquired a leg injury but he was determined to go to the Superstition Mountains to find the gold mines that no one had been able to locate after the Dutchman. Given his physical health condition and the dark history of the mountains, friends and family had warned Adolph to rethink. He, on the other hand, was determined.
He made his journey to the mountains and started looking for the mines full of gold. There was no sign of him for 6 months and when the search party went looking for him, they discovered his stuff scattered in the wild and also a note which read, “Veni, Vidi, Vici.”
