His father, a Black Nova Scotian was native to Canada and mother is of Samoan descent. The father of Dwayne was the first black wrestler who won WWF Tag Team Championship. Aubrey Drake Graham is among the most successful men in America. In his early days, he got popular by his character in series ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’. Then he stepped into the career of rapper and recorded ‘Room For Improvement’. In 2010, he came up with debut album ‘Thank Me Later’ which was no.1 on Billboard 200 and soon Recording Association Industry of America gave it a certificate of platinum. Only few might be knowing that he is a biracial star as his father hails from African American ancestry and mother is a Canadian. He has been vocal regarding racial comments received by people on his skin tone. In an interview, Drake said, “I’m so light that people are like ‘you’re white.’ That’s what I get more than anything, people saying ‘you’re white, you’re not black.”

Jesse Williams is popular as Dr. Avery among his fans which was the character in television series Grey’s Anatomy. Jesse was seen as civil rights leader in the film ‘The Butler’ (2013). Her father is an opera singer who is an African American and mother is of Jewish descent. Lisa’s first husband Kravitz is also biracial and she related to him very well.

Paula Patton stated in an interview, “I find (the term) biracial offensive, it’s a way for people to separate themselves from African-Americans, a way of saying I’m better than that. I’m Black because that’s the way the worlds sees me. People aren’t calling Obama biracial. Most people think there’s a Black president.”
