He peeked from the window of the car to know the reason that the car had stopped in the midst of the road. At first, he even thought he should first call more force but then what he saw made him think that he might need an ambulance rather than a couple of policemen. What did he see?

When he looked inside the car, he was surprised as the man inside the car was not conscious and it seemed to him as if he had passed out. He put his head inside the car and was confused because he couldn’t see that the person was attacked or hurt. He was trying to figure out the situation but he wasn’t able to come at any conclusion. Then he heard a distant noise from the woods. Was he in danger?
Noises
There was something strange about the whole scene but Todd wasn’t able to guess what was happening. He could hear faint rustling noises coming from the woods but he ignored it and was still thinking about how to help the driver. So he left the thought of a backup and searched for the first aid box inside the car.
Unaware
He was completely lost in own thoughts that he didn’t hear the noises getting louder and before he could understand further, two men jumped from behind and took him by surprise. Chief Grannan later said in an interview: “The deputy tripped and fell to the ground as he was backing away from the vehicle,”.Todd was already on the ground, which made it easy for the perpetrators to get a hold of him.
Unexpected
The cop got the surprise of his life when the passed out driver too came to life out of a sudden. It was already late when he came to know that it was a trap and the driver was just pretending to be unconscious. He became numb for a moment because he didn’t know what to do. And before he could even come to his senses he was attacked by the 3 people, but then something clicked inside his mind.
