When Dragging And Dropping Was Fun

Microsoft introduced this game on its operating system to ease people difficulties as they were new to the interface. This game familiarized the user with the use of a mouse as this game requires a player to drag and drop the cards from one deck to another. Solitaire became the part of the windows updated version and with the launch of Windows 8, the company introduced the new version Microsoft Solitaire Collection and added new features to the game.

We Don’t Need Electricity

Remember how time passed by while playing this game. No electricity, no problem. All you had to do was to push that big button so that the air can flow in and push those tine rings which can land on one of those small poles. Did you know? Motorola released its first commercial mobile phone,  the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X. Weighing around 1.1Kg and measured in at 228.6x127x44.4mm. With this device, you got half hour of talk time and it took around 10 hours to recharge. (FUN FACT- Martin Cooper, a Motorola researcher, and executive, made his first call from handheld equipment to Dr. Joel S. Engel of Bell Labs, his rival). That’s a nice light phone you have there.

Sitting in front of the radio listening to the top 30 or 40 songs and waiting for your favorite song to come so that you can record it on your mixtape. Those were the struggles we had to go through to get all our favorite songs in one place. Today, when everything is a single click away, back then it was the task of the day.

Beep! Sound! or Flash!

Beepers or Buzzers, whatever you called them because of the sound they made on getting a notification. The pager was mostly used by the doctors as you might have seen a doctor using it in real life or maybe on some TV shows.
