Miracle

“Professionals who work with animals try to avoid relationships like this occurring so they are able to reintroduce the animal into the wild. But in this isolated case the authorities allowed Dindim to stay with Joao because of his kindness,” Professor Krajewski says speaking about how unethical it is to spark a friendship with animals from the wild. If it were a case of domestic animals, it is however completely harmless to build a relationship with the animal.

Happiness

“I’m flattered Dindim is happy to exchange his home with thousands of other penguins every year to find his way here to spend one-to-one time with me,” Pereira de Souza admits when asked about his feeling towards Dindim. The two have made it a routine to meet up once a year just to catch up and check up on each other. Even we as humans fail to do this, so their friendship really is special. We can only wish to find this type of bond that no amount of time or distance can dilute.

On that note, here are some before and after photos of animals that have been rescued by people. These animals have gone through abuse and neglect which has resulted in severe injuries and infections on their bodies. They are great examples of just how strong and resilient animals are.

Barkley

bakley
This dog was rescued by the Trio Animal Foundation in Chicago a few years ago. He was just 4 pounds heavy, with a skin rash and various other complications. There were a lot of injury marks on his body which was properly treated with medication and antibiotics. When the proper medication was prescribed, the dog began to heal and slowly became more and more active. He soon recovered and quickly found himself a forever home to stay in.

Sam

10 Before-And-After Photos of Rescued Animals That Will Make You Cry Sam had gone through a lot of physical abuse from his owners. He was then taken away by Wags and Walks in Los Angeles. His injuries were so severe that they had to remove his right eye to save his life. His health quickly progressed and in no time he was as fit as ever. He finally found a forever home and could not be happier with his new family. This is one special dog because he is a true example that animals can always adapt to changes if given the right kind of love and affection.

Opie

10 Before-And-After Photos of Rescued Animals That Will Make You Cry Opie got rescued by a Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, New York after suffering an abusive life for about 20 years. Opie was rescued by Gene Baur, Farm Sanctuary who is actually the co-founder. Opie had been through a lot of torture before he was finally rescued. Even though Opie died in 2008, the Farm Sanctuary keeps very fond memories of the cow. The cow was well-liked by the volunteers working at the facility because she was kind and cooperated really well with them.

Elliot

goatElliot was lucky to have escaped a live animal meat market. He fled to the streets of Brooklyn, New York. There was a police officer who spotted the loose goat in the streets and took him to the Farm Sanctuary in upstate New York. He was soon taken away to lead a cruelty-free life away from the Glen Watkins farm he ran out of. Imagine how funny the scene of a goat on the loose on the streets of New York must have been. We are glad though that he got out of the slaughterhouse, scratch free.
