Along with being the co-founder of the Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR), Rivera, born in America, was a member of Gay Liberation Front and the Gay Activists Alliance. This is evident enough to state the fact that she was a very bold and vocal transgender activist. She was also a very famous drag queen.
