An extraordinary performer, Octavia rose to fame after giving a wonderful performance in Paris is Burning, a documentary made to throw light on the issues that transgender individuals faced in New York in the year 1990. She had a desire to become a famous model amidst all the discrimination against LGBT community. Sadly, she passed away in the year 2007 due to cancer.
