Famous Celebs Who Underwent Gender Reassignment Surgery

A war veteran Christine Jorgensen original name was George William Jorgensen Jr. when she fought for the U.S Army in World War II. It was after the war that she decided to undergo surgery in Denmark. The surgery made her famous in the U.S. as everybody recognized her as the first transgender veteran. She made it to the front page of New York Daily News in the early 1950’s.
