Linda Ronstadt was a popular singer in the 70s whose humble beginnings were in Troubadour, a famous nightclub in West Hollywood. She was hailed as the ‘First Lady of Rock’ and ‘Queen of Rock’ due to her unique style of music, which attributed to the golden era of rock music. She won many accolades for her music, which included 10 Grammys. Many of her records went platinum and gold. Sadly, she had to retire from singing to her diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease in 2013. She also released her memoir “Simple Dreams: A Musical Memoir”, that same year.
