“He went right out there about 35-40 yards out in the middle of the pond,” Sauer explained the incident. “He was kinda doing circles around it. I was like, ‘Get the bird,’ and the thing flapped its wings. As soon as he saw that, with his two front teeth he very nonchalantly grabbed the bird.”
What Happened To The Bird?
When Jax was about to reach the shore, Sauer decided to film what was going on. At first glance, it looked like the dog had indeed killed the little birdie. Many people expected that the bird would be inside the dog’s mouth, with no life left.
From Hunter To Hero
As soon as Jax opened his mouth, the bird was indeed, still chirping and alive drowning all negative speculations. There was not a single harm inflicted on its body although it was obviously very frightened. Jax was officially a hero.
Back To Its Nest
As soon as the bird stepped on land, Sauer placed it back to its nest. The other siblings of the bird were still there chirping. Even their mother soon came back after going off to search for food to feed them.
Going Viral
As soon as the rescue was made, Sauer had posted the clip online. Then, Jax found himself at the center of attention, following a view of an unbelievable amount of 1 million on YouTube.
A Heroic Dog
When the clip was viewed by multiple people, many viewers expressed how much they admired Jax the dog. “That dog is a hero,” one of the messages read.
