Message

After receiving the pictures form the woman, Tony got the idea of gathering his kids in a group, and had them all thumbs up the dress for the girl, intending to give their approval for the dress.

Intentions

Tony’s intention behind sending in the image was to make the woman feel reassured that no matter what she wears, it would suit her. “I decided, ‘Let’s make this person’s day.’ So I had the kids thumbs up to her and told her she looked stunning in her dress”, said Tony. But in the process of making other person’s day, he would make it the reason of changing the conditions of his own life.

A Nice Thought

All that Tony had in mind while clicking the picture to send was that he should be able to make the woman comfortable. “Society puts a lot of pressure on these young women to have a certain look and a certain body build,” he told Daily Mail Australia. “We try to teach our children to be themselves and not worry about what others think… Even with that, my young daughters already express a desire to ‘fit in’ and I figured this young lady might need that reassurance.”

An Unforeseen Tweet

When Tony had totally forgotten about the unknown message incident, he was scrolling through his Twitter feed when he saw a post that 165K people were talking about. It was no normal tweet but a screen capture of the message that he had received and reverted to the unknown number. He could not figure out as to what was going on!

New Twist

The screen capture of his text and the picture of his kids was put by an account holder named Mandi Miller. The first question that would come to our minds was the same question that hit Tony as well. Was Mandy Miller the unknown sender? Was she the girl in the picture? And why had she posted this tweet?

Disclosure

After going through the tweet and pondering upon it thoughtfully, Tony found out that the girl in the picture was Mandy’s friend, named ‘Syd’ in the post. And the reason that Mandy had posted the tweet was not because of any negative reason but only because she and her friend found Tony’s reply very considerate.
