Looking Forward

Alex says that regardless of how tough it would be to rear five children at a time, she was looking forward to their birth. She further says, “I very much look forward to seeing how they will look, it’s a great charm, but we cannot see anything properly – only a head or legs.”

An Achievement

The duo was already amazed at the conception of a quintuplet that they barged another achievement. It was observed that in the Czech Republic no other woman had even given birth to five babies at a time since the records were kept. Alex was the first one to do so ever after 1949. That was incredible.

In 480 Years

Alena Mechurova, who was in charge of Alex’s delivery says, “In the Czech Republic, quintuplets are born on average once every 480 years,”. Moreover, as far as the medical records of the country were concerned it appeared that it was almost half millennium that something like this was happening.

 A Task

While the nine months stage wasn’t an easy one, it wasn’t either easy for the doctors to deliver the babies. They needed to be very careful and precise in doing so. A special team of doctors was appointed to bring in the five babies. The case was a sensitive one. Everyone just prayed for the safety of the mother and the babies.

Welcome To The World

It was reported that nearly 40 specialized doctors, midwives, and experts were on duty the day Alex was to deliver the babies. After much tension and chaos finally, Alex gave birth to four boys and a baby girl via a cesarean section. And that moment the couple just had tears of joy rolling down their cheeks.

Intense Care

As the quintuplets were very small in size and underweight they were kept under observation in the intensive care. They were provided with the needed vitamins and minerals and the fluids so that they could adapt to the outside world and even reach normal birth weight. And what happened next was a beautiful thing.
