Diaper for your plants, Soil Quality
Using diaper in gardening may sound funny but its use can give your plant a major benefit. A diaper is supposed to absorb liquid and it does the same work for the pot. Keep a diaper at bottom of the pot and it will not let the entire water to leak out. It will absorb some of it which will keep the plants more hydrated. The foremost step while gardening should be to check the quality of the soil. Again the trick is natural using two household items. To check whether the soil is acidic, make a solution with 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup of water and then add 1/2 cup of your soil. If soil fizzes it means it is acidic. It can be good for acid-loving plants. To check the alkaline nature of the soil, test 1/2 cup of soil with 1/2 cup of vinegar. If bubbles are formed, the soil is alkaline in nature and if the soil is neutral it would not react to any solution.
