Beyond Spectacular

Joyce had a very traditional way of living and even nature wise she was very much traditional. But who would have thought that behind this wooden main doors something unbelievable lies that would astound the duo? They were almost inside the house when Carla realized that she has forgotten her camera in the car as she needs to take some of the pictures of the house. She went to the car and behind her, Gladys and Joyce entered the house. While Carla was busy taking out the camera from the car she heard Gladys calling her name. Carla! Come in. Surprised by the noise, she ran.

The Time Capsule

Gladys was inside the house and was shouting in excitement. Carla was surprised to see sister like this. She left the camera in the car ran towards the house. The duo just has won the lottery of their lifetime. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing. The house which didn’t look remarkable from the outside was something different entirely from the inside. The could see all the unimaginable money coming into their pockets through this house. The moment they entered the house it felt like walking back in the past. The house was decorated as it was the 1940s. It was the same time Joyce first moved in. Nothing changed even after 72 years.

More Than Four Walls

Each and every room felt like competing with each other to tell the people who visit the house, “see I look better than the living room.” Jokes apart the house was magnificent. They say, “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Whoever wrote this must have seen this house before writing it. The house was a monument that took the duo back in time. There was a reason behind Joyce’s hesitation of selling her house and only time would tell if there was any potential buyer who could just ignore this one major problem of the house and buys it.

The Interior Design

So, the house was a complete package that worked as a time capsule but with only one major problem. She has decorated her whole house in a typical feminine fashion. She was so particular about it that every accessory she installed catered to the tradition of the 1940s. This could just lead to cut the potential male buyers for the house. Redecorating this huge place was out of the window because it won’t be that cheap. But leaving the problem behind the house was a deal of the lifetime. But there was one room in the house that stole the show.

An Acquired Taste

This room we talked about above was in the basement. Both Gladys and Carla knew this particular room could change everything for the house. The room had a wet bar, finished with wood paneling and if have watched the TV series Mad Men then you could understand what we are trying to say. The room in the basement was every men’s desire. But who used this room?

The Basement

This room was used by Joyce’s husband who used to hang out with his friends spending some quality time or when he wanted to spend some “me” time. Only this room didn’t have any floral prints on the wall or curtains with accessories matching the interior of the room. This room had the capability to attract male buyers.
