Products Needed: ¼ cup of raw rice and a toothbrush or paintbrush
What it Does: Thoroughly cleans the grinder
Cost: $2*

Coffee grinders are intricate machines with many crevasses that build up with coffee grime over time. This can go rancid and should be cleaned periodically, but this is a fairly tricky contraption to clean properly! The easiest way to pull it off is with some rice and a toothbrush or paintbrush.Take the dry, uncooked rice (about ¼ cup) and put it in the grinder making sure that the blades are properly covered. Grind the rice until it’s a fine powder. Don’t worry if you notice the color-changing a little bit. Throw the rice powder away and brush it off using the brush. You will see that the rice absorbed all the coffee bits and pieces and your grinder will be shiny and clean!
