There is the sun halo and there is a moon halo but the latter one is white in color. The former is formed when ice crystals are formed at the right temperature high above the earth’s surface which bends the light to form a perfect ring. It is amazing what nature has to offer in terms of aesthetics and how we have not witnessed so much!
